I got my MSc (1991) and PhD (2002) from the Department of Computer Science, "Politehnica" University of Bucharest, Romania.

Currently, I am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Department of Information Technology, Mathematics and Physics (TIMF) , UPG University of Ploiesti, Romania.

Research Interests:

My main research interests include open courseware and open educational resources, digital libraries, learning objects, multimedia databases, desktop grid computing, multiagent systems, context-aware services and systems, knowledge society, instructional design, reflective learning, blended-learning, e-learning and u-learning, and e-society.

I have published over 80 research papers concerning these topics. I also have (co-) authored 7 books. I have been a member of more than 25 project teams (open source included), both national and international.
